This morning I got up and went to the bathroom and took a moment to look out the window to the backyard. The sun was shining through the trees and I just took a minute to stop and be in gratitude for that exact moment.
I then intuitively felt the desire to fill my heart with sunshine before I started my day. And I actually felt it!
I thought “Wow, I will start my day like this more often”. I will connect with the sun and bring it into my heart and then start my day.
May your day be filled with Love and your heart filled with sunshine….. have a good one everybody….
I don’t know if this is true or not, but I believe it is! I saw something on Facebook the other day talking about sunflowers. They were saying that the sunflowers reach for the sun but when it is cloudy often they will turn toward each other and this is how the ‘get their energy’…. from each other instead of the sun.
WOW! This made me think of us as human beings. When we are feeling good and empowered we are strong enough to stand on our own. But when we are struggling we need to reach out to others to help support us.
And we too get revived and healed from the sun’s beautiful healing energy.
The first sound that comes to my mind is the sound of a lawn mower and the first thought is the deliciousness of ice cream on a hot, hot, day!
Summer truly has its own energy and JOY vibe! Luckily, where I live in Northern Canada, we get extended hours of daylight and around this time of year, it is light outside til close to 11 o’clock at night! And we Canadians sure take advantage of this, I tell you. We milk every drop of daylight we can. 🙂 Our winters are long and cold we enJOY this time of year immensely!
Another sound of summer, which is not so much fun, are mosquitos. This morning I left the patio door open for the cat and big mistake. I am now batting mosquitos as I type this blog post LOL!
The older I get, the more I seem to tap into the energies around me. I find even the weather has its own energy. A rainy day feels much different than a bright sunny day. I like both, but they have different energies for sure.
I also find days of the week have different vibes and so do months of the year. The more we tap into ‘feeling’ these subtle energies the more in tune we become with our senses and the more we can delight in the dance of the soul.
JOY is my favorite frequency to tap into and I strive for reaching JOY every day that I am on earth. I know that life will always have the highs and the lows so when I can run with and on a high note, I take it! 🙂
Oh, and in regard to JOY, in June I created an ebook on Finding JOY. If you would like to enJOY it, here is a link for a free download of the book:
I hope you tap into all the JOY the summer season has to offer. Whether it is time at the lake, hiking, time in nature, licking ice cream cones, lazy by the river, cloud watching, star gazing, or whatever brings you JOY, I hope you do it and take advantage of the summer vibe!

For years I have loved the ‘smell of sunshine’. I have not researched it much, but what I have, Googled, tells me there is no such thing. I don’t believe this however. 🙂
I know and love the smell of sunshine!
When the sun shines on items, even through a window, eventually a beautiful smell is created and the only way to describe this scent is heavenly! I have a pink blanket on the end of my bed at my beach house, which gets a lot of sunshine everyday that it’s sunny, and the smell is divine. It’s like fresh air and sunshine combined.
Today I was telling my friend once again about the smell of sunshine and how much I love it. I asked her if she had ever heard of this and she said “No”. So I had her smell this throw that is on one of the chairs here that gets sunshine every morning. Sure enough she was able to smell what I was talking about and and she agreed with me completely!!! This smell is divine!
I encourage you to try smelling the sunshine in your house. It works best when it is cast on things that are made out of cotton or terry cloth. Natural fibers seem to soak up that sunshine the best! 🙂

This was the start of my beautiful morning. Warm lemon water in a pretty cup, some meditation today (not all days), and then a short yoga session which focused today on appreciating the feet and knees.
Lately I have been ceremoniously enjoying my things and experiences and tying them together. For example when I prepare my morning celery juice I offer it up, pre-juicer, on a nice elongated white plate. There is something extra special doing it that way verses grabbing the celery from the sink and stuffing it in the juicer. 🙂
Here, in this picture, I enjoy my lemon water in a pretty tea cup along with my new favorite lemon water carafe. I find the more special and ceremonious I make my experiences, the deeper I appreciate them. They become sacred in fact.
A client just messaged me about how to prepare lemon water and I mentioned to her that I enjoy slicing my lemons thinly in the cup because it is like a whole bunch of sunshine in my cup. It truly makes me smile to see it. That is an example of infusing more JOY. I like to call all of this “Decorating Your Day with JOY”. 🙂
Update: my client just sent me this! How wonderful!
I hope you too find ways to infuse more JOY into your day and enjoy the little things that you do for you health consistently because they truly do become the BIG things. All things done with JOY are enhanced and extra special too. 🙂

It was a beautiful day today and I went for a walk. We have had a long and cold and snowy winter. This is the first beautiful spring day we’ve had. The sun is shining and it is so glorious.
While walking along a river bank lo and behold there 14 turtles sunbathing on a log. It was amazing to see and was enjoyed by myself and a few passerbys, in particular a young boy and it was thrilling for him. The best part was I later discovered today is World Turtle Day!!!!
