Breaking Free from Yourself!

struggle

I was doing some text support with one of my clients and it got me to thinking that I would start a series of blog posts that share some of the conversations I have with clients, in the hope that it may help others. So here we go on the first one which has to do with moving forward after things like financial challenges, addictions and just beating ourselves up.

My client stated ” I am so angry I’m in this place. I know I’ve put myself here but I’m angry about it. I feel dumb and stupid and so incompetent.” She was referring to maxed out lines of credit and racked up credit cards, which is  a place many of us have been, myself included.

She also messaged this:

Client: “I want to connect to joy and possibility I no longer want this sadness and fear it’s so heavy”.

My advice to her was to see the experience of the prior money management or mismanagement as the blessing it is. These experiences are truly  gifts to show us what we do want, and how we want things to be. This is what we refer to as ‘the contrast’. When we clearly know, feel and see what we do not want in our life, we can clearly know, feel and see what we do want in our lives. There lies the blessing.

I also encouraged her to look at the positive ways she has handled money in her life as in her investments and that she owns a home as well. The secret here is to get excited about the positive. When we ‘feel’ good about a situation we can then shift the frequency from fear and failure to joy and possibility which is what she clearly desired.

All creation starts with a thought, but the most important part of creating and manifesting the lives we do want, comes from the feeling of having it already.  This is the secret that master manifestors know and understand. We ‘feel’ our way to those things we want.

This is the same as breaking an addiction. It is much more effective to get excited about being free from the substance or behaviour, then beating yourself up over it. When you are in a state of fear and punishment you will just attract more fear and punishment and probably make your addiction or said behavior worse.  I have found it is much more effective to focus on the way you will feel being free of the very thing that is weighing your down rather than focusing on the problem. You feel your way to the next state/frequency all the way to the door marked “Freedom”!

So back to my client. Can you see that the best thing for her to do would be to stop harboring those negative feelings about herself? And to actually get grateful for her experience so that she can use it as a catalyst for designing the very life she wants which includes empowered money management.

This technique can be applied to any situation or desire you are working on in your life.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any question you would like to ask Life Coach Maggie, please send it to me so I can write back here and maybe together we will help others too. 🙂

Choose Living Fearlessly and in LOVE!

“Only when we are no longer afraid do we begin to live”. Dorothy Thompson

What if you decided that 2019 is going to be the year to Love yourself more?  By letting go of fear, we open the path to Love and Living and yes with Capitals! They are that important! 🙂

Fear is what holds us back and constricts us. Love expands and fear contracts. The fastest and easiest way to move through fear is to shine the light of love and this starts with us!!!

We can start to love ourselves more by being our own Lover.  This includes, but is not limited to, saying kind things to ourselves, being  gentle with ourselves, allowing time for rest, feeding our bodies with nutritious food, forgiving ourselves, consoling ourselves, and one that I would like to add in that I feel is important, is by empowering ourselves.  And we empower ourselves by doing all of those things just mentioned and more.

When we feel personally empowered we feel stronger and more capable of loving ourselves. True personal power comes from within. This means that WE have the capability to ramp up this personal power and that in itself is truly empowering!

I hope each and everyone of you reading this whether today, or in the future, claims and grasps your birthright, your entitlement which includes personal empowerment and self-love to ramp up your divine beauty so that 2019 and beyond can be the life that is better than your wildest and craziest dreams! Hold your own hand.winged heart Be your own Lover and a Lover of Life! It’s yours for the taking.

The Artist in All of Us

may cards

Today on Facebook, a local business, Bay Village Coffee, shared a FB post promoting my friend May Porter’s art in the form of holiday greeting cards.

I have to share with you that this post brought tears to my eyes. My friend May is a terrific artist and she is getting her work out there. I remembered back to a time when May was more of a silent artist, or perhaps a time when she was a little less confident about her gift.  And I thought of all of the artists out there. It matters not if the art is in the form of painting, drawing, sewing, writing, cooking, gardening, designing or just creating of any sort, it’s art! And how many of us struggle with letting it come out and through us?

This my friends, is why I had tears in my eyes. For all the Mays, the Maggies, the Susans and Joes of the world who struggle with allowing our art and our gifts out.  We all have beautiful divine expressions of creativity and gifts we have to offer the world and many of us keep them hidden.

I for one, have vowed to use my gift of expressing through words more often and to ‘let it out’ and this is why I am here writing today. 🙂

Here is a picture May posted today of her favorite work area in her home, her dining room table.

may dininig room

Others commented and posted sharing their favorite  areas to create too! So often we think we need special rooms, areas, or tools for our craft when in reality it’s just do it and the spaces and inspirations will find their place as we journey along.  It always begins with the first step…

I encourage the artist in you, to unleash its divine essence and flow through you and out to the world. We have been waiting for you!

I close with another piece of May’s art. The English Robin and prints are available for those interested.  And to see more of May’s work, she does have a FB Page . If you too love the artists of the world and also love supporting them, give her page a Like. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/mayporterartist/ And a shout out to Bay Village Coffee for their local business and in supporting the artists and entrepreneurs of the world!

Find Your Voice & Then Own It!

Find your voice and then own it!

Maggie Holbik

I am a lover of words. I see myself as a ‘Communication Artist’ and social media, blogging, book writing,  etc. as my canvas. 🙂

It has come to me that I have truly gotten to a place in my life where I feel I have found my voice, but recently I have taken that to the next level, which to me, is ‘owning my voice.

As a person who needs to express herself often, I thought I would blog about what this means to me.

Owning my voice to me means:

. I understand what is important to me and for me

. I use my words wisely,  especially in my self-talk and manifestation practices

. I infuse my words with Love and Honesty. Both of these traits are extremely important to me

. I know that my voice and input has value and I appreciate myself for that

. I use my words and my voice as a positive tool to make a positive impact in the world

. I trust that my words reach those who need to hear them and that my words serve them for their highest good through my highest offering

I’ve saved the most important for last….. I hope that my words Heal. If that is a gift that I can offer to others, I will take it, or perhaps give it, is a better analogy 🙂 Either way, I own this. I will use my words to heal and to infuse love into the world.  And so it is!

Maggie Holbik.com is a Certified Life Coach & Board Certified Nutritionist who is excited to share Inspiration, Hope, and Love with the world. She encourages you to also find your passion and to infuse your words with Love and Healing. Use the powerful  tool of words to make a difference in your day, your life, and in the world. Not only will you be greatly impacted by your words but so will all of those around you and the ripple effect will occur. How beautiful is that? 🙂

BE-YOU-Tiful

Have you ever marvelled at the human spirit? I know I have. Life is filled with both glory and pain. We all go through things in our lives and through life’s experiences that can be tremendously challenging, painful and even heart breaking.

Lately I have been reflecting on the human spirit and our will to go on. I have come to believe that our true beauty is in our humanness. What if we saw our so called shortcomings, our so called flaws and even our addictions, as the very things that make us beautiful and real? What if we realized that the very things we judge as ‘bad’  or ‘ugly’ are the things that in fact, make us beautiful? These are the things  that make us human and alive.  These are the raw truths that make us empathetic and compassionate toward others. What if we had more compassion for ourselves and actually saw the beauty in these ‘gifts’?

The next time you jump on yourself and are ready to be critical of yourself for something you did, said, or did not do, etc., why not stop yourself and remind yourself that this is what makes  you beautiful?  Try turning your disdain of self into appreciation of self. With compassion for self, we can have compassion for others.

A saying I use often is “Love is all there is.” If this is indeed true, we must all get better at loving ourselves.  It has been said that it starts at home 🙂 I have personally put a note on my fridge to remind myself that these human traits are what makes me beautiful, alongside all of my beautiful soul sisters and brothers travelling with me here on earth.

This concept may seem a little weird, but I can say it really has helped me to see things differently within myself and with my judgement of myself. It makes me have much more compassion towards me, and I truly am starting to feel like I am my own best friend and that’s a really awesome feeling, I must say.

I hope you decide to hold yourself within the palm of your own hand and to see the beauty that is YOU.

No Onions Please & How It Applies to Life :-)

onion-647525_1920

Today I went for lunch to one of my favorite restaurants and the experience inspired me to write this blog post. I love how that happens.

How many of you have had an experience at a restaurant that bugged you? Yep I am being real here. Here’s the scenario. You go to a restaurant ready to spend your hard earned dollars and you know what you want. For example, I would like my soup first please. 🙂 Or you want an extra side or sauce of some sort. Or maybe it’s hold the onions and red peppers. You get the idea. And then it doesn’t happen. The soup doesn’t come first and you were all ready to enjoy the hot soup first and then anticipate the rest of the meal that will also be hot when it comes. 🙂 How do you feel? And then maybe they don’t check in on you so you can’t even tell them? Think again about how you feel? I am sure we have all been here or in a similar scenario.

It’s a little frustrating. My daughter tells me “Mom, it’s not a big deal”. And I get that but I still have a feeling when it happens. It came to me today that the ‘special’ thing that I wanted to happen was the most important part of my meal experience!!! I get that people who might not want onions and then get onions, don’t really want to just pick them off. I love onions by the way 🙂 I get why a ‘special’ request or desire is the biggest part.

Anyhow the moral of this message is … wait for it…. what about us! Our specialness and uniqueness is what makes us so special. And many of us hide our unique gifts, traits, ideas, thoughts, way of being, way of looking, etc. Wow. I can see the Universe/God/Source/WhatEverYouWanToCallIt looking at us saying… “Hey I’m not feeling good about this, your special gift is this and you are not using it or being it!!!!” That same feeling we get when we want that special request and it’s not delivered!

I’m having some fun here using a real life experience to inspire us to let our specialness out because it is OUR GIFT. Our uniqueness is what the world wants. It is what sets us apart from everyone else and makes us so special. 🙂

I encourage all of us to run with our uniqueness, shine our special light, be an extra helping of ‘us’, and to illuminate the world with the very essence of who we are.

Define who YOU are….

14695368_10207800909396483_2304208567022143608_n

Wow. I saw this quote and I thought there is so much truth to it. Many of us spend a lifetime defining who we are based on beliefs from sources outside of ourselves like comments from others, teachings, religions, chance encounters, media and more. And yet, so many people feel disconnected from ‘who they really are’ or they are very self-critical and hard on themselves. We definitely can be our own worst enemy when defining who we are.

It is my belief that I can re-create myself anew in an given moment. Everyday is a new day to redefine myself. I teach this to my clients also. Nothing, has meaning until we give it meaning. If we want a new life or a new version of how we see ourselves, we have to tell a new story and that story must be based on OUR chosen version of who we say we are, not the external world, forces, and opinions.

We get to be butterflies coming out of the cocoon everyday and every minute. This is the true embodiment of personal empowerment.

What about you? Will you be a butterfly today? Will you allow yourself to be free to be you?

En-JOY!

The Flow we Learn From Nature

waterfall-3730353_1920
The Chopra Centre talks about The Law of Least Effort which states “Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease. When you become lighthearted and let go of struggling to force things to go your way, you’ll experience the spontaneous fulfillment of your desires and purpose.”

This is something that can be deeply contemplated but the irony is that it’s all about ease and grace and flow. Just like nature!!! Nature flows and is always beating to its own intuitive drum. Nature does not have to ‘figure anything out’. Nature just is. Nature is Nature being Nature.

What if we let go of some of our resistance that we ourselves create and be more nature like? What if we just put the paddle down and let our canoe turn around and go downstream smoothly and joyously rather than struggling to paddle upstream?

So often we are the ones who create the resistance, the turmoil, the fear.

Today I encourage you to let go, go with the flow, detach from outcome and from expectation. Maybe be like a tree. Hang out and dance to the beat of nature’s wind.

Universal Love

sivanna heart pic

This past weekend, my favorite artist, 🙂 my daughter Sivanna who is 12, decided to do some art that entailed using all hearts. I loved the idea! We quickly started to co-create this piece together just as the universe co-creates with us and with our desires and intentions.

In this beautiful piece you can see that all things are connected… the flowers, clouds, sun, butterfly and even a pet! 🙂 And these are all connected through a universal heart and they all are composed of their own hearts.

This beautiful hand-made picture has a profound depth to it. The more we realize that we are all connected, that we are all one, and that what we do affects the whole, the more we will consciously raise the frequency of the planet.

I truly believe that at the end of our lives we will come to understand that at the end of the day Love is all there is, and that the things we spent so much time worrying and fussing over never even mattered in the first place. Wouldn’t it be nice to get to that place now? It’s possible and it’s beautiful. I am personally grateful for this beautiful reminder and encourage all reading this to reflect on the idea of this connectedness and to share this blog post with others…. you will never know the impact it can have.

Easy Tip for Thought Management

stop thought
Thoughts are things and thoughts are what we use to create. We create art, we create tables, chairs, houses, cars, color patterns and schemes, poetry, music…. etc. etc. etc. All of these creations start with a THOUGHT.

The fastest path to having the life you want is to realize this ASAP, PRONTO…. aka RIGHT NOW! I am grateful to have tapped into this many years ago and it has been the most powerful catalyst for creating a life of Joy, Happiness and Love.

So here is a tip to help you with your run on negative thoughts. You may have been taught to say something like “Cancel” or “Stop”. However, there is a much better and more effective technique that I have used for years.

Here you go….. Just ‘replace the thought’. Yep, it’s that simple. If you start thinking something like “I’m no good or I’m no good at this”…. etc., just stop and switch your thought verses trying to cancel or stop your thought. Pop a new thought right in there. Think of something you are good at and start thinking that. Or, if you struggle with that, completely switch gears and change the whole thought theme. For example, just switch to thinking about something you are grateful for like your cat, dog, child, that you don’t have a serious illness, that you CAN go for a walk (some people cannot), whatever. There is always something to be grateful for!

Okay I hope this helps and remember even though it sounds simple enough, it is very, very, very powerful and it’s like a muscle the more you use it the more powerful it becomes. 🙂
