Fresh Crisp Sheets! Yum!

Fresh Crisp Sheets Drying on the Line on a Beautiful Spring Day

So today is a beautiful spring day and while #workingandplayingfromanywhere at my beach house on the shores of Lake Superior, I decided to wash and air out my bedding. I did it all. The sheets, the feather bed, the mattress cover, the duvet and my bedspread…. all white. 🙂 I made this little video and it captures that beautiful feeling and essence when you see sheets flapping in the glorious wind, especially when it is lakeside. There is a freshness like no other and if I had to give it a name, I would call it “The Scent of Heaven”.

I can hardly wait to sleep in this glorious bed. I know there are people who live neighborhoods where they cannot have a clothes line and I truly think it’s the saddest thing ever.

I also love that I do not use toxic and heavily scented laundry detergents and that the one I do use is safe for septic systems. Somehow it just adds to the freshness of this whole experience. 🙂

I also use general cleaning products that are non-toxic and safe for septic fields. I couldn’t even imagine putting toxic chemicals into this beautiful environment around me. Mother Earth is here for us and we should be here for Mother Earth. 🙂

Here is a link to the laundry soap that I used if you are interested. I have been using this line of safe cleaning products for 23 years now. 🙂

Well I have to dash now to put my bed back together. 🙂 Talk later….

The Smell of Sunshine

For years I have loved the ‘smell of sunshine’. I have not researched it much, but what I have, Googled, tells me there is no such thing. I don’t believe this however. 🙂

I know and love the smell of sunshine!

When the sun shines on items, even through a window, eventually a beautiful smell is created and the only way to describe this scent is heavenly! I have a pink blanket on the end of my bed at my beach house, which gets a lot of sunshine everyday that it’s sunny, and the smell is divine. It’s like fresh air and sunshine combined.

Today I was telling my friend once again about the smell of sunshine and how much I love it. I asked her if she had ever heard of this and she said “No”. So I had her smell this throw that is on one of the chairs here that gets sunshine every morning. Sure enough she was able to smell what I was talking about and and she agreed with me completely!!! This smell is divine!

I encourage you to try smelling the sunshine in your house. It works best when it is cast on things that are made out of cotton or terry cloth. Natural fibers seem to soak up that sunshine the best! 🙂
