As a person who has a lot of cookbooks, I was thinking how I get inspired by them but you end up going back to the same recipes or go-to foods more often than not.
And then it hit me! This is like our thoughts and habits. Our brains work in patterns, repetition, and it always likes the familiar. This is why it is so easy to run trains of thoughts that may or may not serve us.
One thought attracts another thought and once you start you are on a roll. So thoughts are like recipes. We use the same ingredients (familiar thoughts) and we run our programs (the recipes.)
Now the question becomes is your thought recipe serving you or disempowering you? Are you running and making good recipes or are they self destructive recipes, kind of like unhealthy food? 🙂
So if you catch yourself using thought patterns that are not for your highest good, the secret is to disrupt the brain pattern and switch to a new recipe. One technique that I use is my very own quote “I control my thoughts, they don’t control me”. I have developed a habit of catching my thoughts and then switching them. The more you do it the easiest it gets. These new thoughts start to become your go-to recipes… your new recipes. 🙂
And the good news is just like when you find or develop a new recipe you love, you love it! Same with thought recipes, once you start using thought patterns that are good for you, it feels great and you want to use them more! Woo hoo!
Happy Recipe Creation!

Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.
A picture in your mind is worth its weight in gold.
When my daughter was little she naturally knew the power of imagination and using her mind. She used to call it “minding”. She would say “I will just mind it Mom”, and I would think “Wow, cool, awesome!”
Picturing things in your mind and adding ‘feeling’ to them is super, super powerful. Never underestimate the power of forming pictures in your mind and using your imagination. And always, always, remember that when you are minding and visualizing in your mind the possibilities are INFINITE and ENDLESS!
I hope you take JOY in being a deliberate creator of your life. 🙂

I have found an awesome life enhancement hack and it works great!!!!
I used it this morning and tried out a new tool in my kit of hacks 🙂
I woke up extra early and couldn’t go back to sleep so I thought I would do one of the sleep meditations that I use over on YouTube. Well there was one suggested for me at it was perfect. It’s by Dauchsy and is called “Achieve Anything – With This Sleep Meditation” and it’s about focus, visualization, manifestation and sleep which are all things I am personally working on so I thought perfect!
And it worked. I followed along, set my intention and listened to all of the great affirmations until I fell asleep, knowing that my subconscious mind was soaking it all up like a sponge… working for me while I enJOYed a restful sleep. How much better can it get? 🙂
I will share the link below and here are the affirmations he uses in this fabulous sleep meditation:
“I am accomplishing my goals
I am manifesting what I want into my life
I am attracting my desires
I focus my mind on giving me what I want and need
My mind is working on solving all the challenges I create
I am attracting what I want
I am manifesting my desires
I am grateful for manifesting what I want
I am grateful for attracting what I desire
I can create anything I want
My life is filled with great abundance
I accept and allow success in all areas of my life
Great things are manifesting into my life
I am attracting success into my life
I manifest what I want and need effortlessly
My dreams are manifesting before my eyes
I am filled with limitless potential
I am worthy of all that I want and receive
I love myself and deserve it in my life I am attracting my dream life
I hope you find this post useful and be sure to make it an amazing day today!

So here I am on a Sunday morning preparing for my Week 2, Infinite Possibilities class tomorrow night. The class is on beliefs but I was reflecting on the content from last week where we covered that ‘thoughts are things’ and we started to implement visualization or ‘adult daydreaming’ as I like to call it. 🙂
I think we can all relate to how easy it was to daydream when we were children. It is interesting to see that it can be very difficult for many adults to start this process again. After many years of running programs in our minds about how we think life is or should be, and what we expect is what we get, we somehow lose that childlike wonder.
I found this note from Mike Dooley, who writes “The Notes from The Universe” and thought it was perfect…
Remember when as a child,
just the site of the swing set, or a pony, or a Hula-Hoop would get your heart racing and your imagination somersaulting? And without even thinking in words you felt that surely the world revolved around you, that you were the most blessed creature ever to live, and that having fun was all that really mattered?
Well I still wonder how you knew so much, at such a tender age.
P.S. To me, at times it’s as if there is only you. Actually… all the time.
I hope you enJOYed this note from the Universe as much as I did today and happy adult daydreaming! Woot Woot!!!

This beautiful display was my view this morning on the last day of January. Lake Superior never disappoints and offers opportunities to take one’s breath away on a daily basis.
Lately I have been drawn even more so to the crystals in my life. Having named my coaching business “Crystal Clear Coaching” many years ago, it seems fitting. However, I did not understand the true beauty of the way crystal formations can and do appear in nature.
I like to think of these crystals formations as conduits to beauty, clarity and divine offerings….

Thoughts are things and thoughts are what we use to create. We create art, we create tables, chairs, houses, cars, color patterns and schemes, poetry, music…. etc. etc. etc. All of these creations start with a THOUGHT.
The fastest path to having the life you want is to realize this ASAP, PRONTO…. aka RIGHT NOW! I am grateful to have tapped into this many years ago and it has been the most powerful catalyst for creating a life of Joy, Happiness and Love.
So here is a tip to help you with your run on negative thoughts. You may have been taught to say something like “Cancel” or “Stop”. However, there is a much better and more effective technique that I have used for years.
Here you go….. Just ‘replace the thought’. Yep, it’s that simple. If you start thinking something like “I’m no good or I’m no good at this”…. etc., just stop and switch your thought verses trying to cancel or stop your thought. Pop a new thought right in there. Think of something you are good at and start thinking that. Or, if you struggle with that, completely switch gears and change the whole thought theme. For example, just switch to thinking about something you are grateful for like your cat, dog, child, that you don’t have a serious illness, that you CAN go for a walk (some people cannot), whatever. There is always something to be grateful for!
Okay I hope this helps and remember even though it sounds simple enough, it is very, very, very powerful and it’s like a muscle the more you use it the more powerful it becomes. 🙂
