Gratitude, Joy

True Joy!

joy cardThis year, my spouse Don and I, and our daughter Sivanna, got together with Don’s kids, grandkids and their spouses, great grandkids, and Joyce, the beautiful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother of all of these beautiful people, for an early Christmas celebration.

I feel very grateful to be a part of this extended family and thought I would take a minute to write about my JOY. This card from Don’s two sons and their families sums it up quite well. “Christmas is about believing in miracles and being a blessing, reviving our spirits and celebrating our JOY… Christmas is about remembering all the wonderful things in life, like the people who mean so much to us, people like you.”

I thought this was a beautiful card with a beautiful message and it will be treasured. I must mention that they also got us a great present that made me jump for JOY!

A kajak for our new place on the lake. I was so excited about this. 🙂 I can see so much JOY to be had by all as we use this and enjoy the beauty of nature and our beautiful surroundings.

I encourage  all of us to read the words from this greeting card and to believe in Miracles, to be a Blessing and revive our spirits now and always. How do we do this? We do this by celebrating our JOY and by counting our blessings and that includes the people in our lives that Love us and that we Love back. Thank you to our beautiful family for the blessing of being together and celebrating our JOY together this holiday season.

I Woke Up in a Dream

Joy Beach

Today I woke up in a dream, or so it seemed. For most of my adult life I have always held a vision that I would one day have a place either on the ocean, probably Hawaii or on Lake Superior in Canada. I never worried about how it would happen, I just knew it would and that the perfect place would manifest. So today I awoke at my place on Lake Superior that I have had for a few months now, after returning home from my first trip to Hawaii. 😊 How do you like that for comparison? Lol

The trip was wonderful and beautiful and in fact breathtaking but I ended up changing my flight and coming home two days earlier than originally planned. So here I am waking up here on Lake Superior on the very day I should be travelling home, and I am finding myself in complete and utter JOY! I am also in complete clarity. Lake Superior is where I need to be. My heart is with this place here on earth.

Many people have asked me if I regretted leaving Hawaii early and coming home to cold and snow. My response was “No, I love my life and have nothing I am running away from so I am happy at either place”. However, coming home to the snow made me realize how much I do love the seasons. I love the snow. I love the fall, the spring, the summer and the transitions. I love it all! Not to say I won’t travel to warm places and experience new experiences, but for a place to live, I pick here! 😊

I am sitting here in complete and utter Bliss. Here is where I will write my best-selling books, create my blog posts to share with the world and hope I impact lives positively. I will also create online workshops to help people to live in JOY, to manifest their ideal lives, and to teach universal laws that work!

In Hawaii I attended a Soulapalooza Conference with Mike Dooley, from Tut.com, the originator of The Note from the Universe.
Link to Tut for free Notes from the Universe
It was amazing. I have since registered to also become an “Infinite Possibilities” Certified Trainer which is happening on my birthday in May of 2019. Here I will learn directly from Mike Dooley and Certified Trainers who are actively teaching Infinite Possibilities in schools, homeless shelters, prisons, private coaching practices, business corporations, etc. By the time I complete this I will be prepared to even more so teach people the truth about life’s magic, our power, and the infinite possibilities we’re showered with to live happier lives.

When you tap into the universal tool kit, magic can happen. This morning I am working on my upcoming online workshop called “Tapping into The Universal Powerhouse”, that is there for all of us by the way. So, stay tuned and I hope you will join me as a co-creator in this workshop. I will be launching this as a 1 hour, super impactful and full of gems, that will launch anyone who is ready to work on manifesting their ideal life! It’s going to be so much fun too! I hope you will join me.

I close today, sending you’re the highest of vibes and I hope that you too are ready to get crystal clear on what is important to you and that you are ready to manifest your perfect life that will serve your for your highest good. 😊

What You Seeks Seeks YOU!

diamond headred

I was having a text messaging conversation with a coaching client this morning and the topic of being grateful came up. I thought voila, here is my blog post for today.

Many of us struggle with making the shift from ‘waiting for the axe to fall’, which tricks us into not being in a state of grace and gratitude, to fulling embracing the gift of having and being in gratitude and grace.

Gratitude is a state of being, an energetic force that has enormous potential. I thought I would share what my client said to me and what I shared back because I am sure that we can all relate to this, either now or at some point in our lives.

Client: “Yah it’s deeply tied into disappointment for me and not getting what I want. Don’t think about it, acknowledge it, or dream about it and then you’ll never get hurt”.

Me: “Ya, that’s one of the classic self-sabotages of all time, the old waiting for the axe to fall 😊

Our conversation went on and I shared about ways, like this, that we give our power away to outside sources and this is definitely one of them. I reminded my client that what we seek, seeks us and what we love, loves us. Gratitude is just like that. Being grateful puts that attracting/seeking/aligning energy out there so that we can attract more of what we desire. When we love our life it can truly loves us back and bring us more of that which we love! 😊 This is so exciting and the awesome thing is there is always, always, something to be grateful for. Gratitude is a like a muscle, the more we use it, the easier it gets and the bigger it gets. Bring on the GRATITUDE muscle!!

I am sitting here in Hawaii, typing this, the sun is shining on my face, the wind is gently blowing and toying with my hair, and as I look up I see Diamond Head. Diamond Head Crater is an absolutely beautiful site on the island of Oahu. It sits majestically above the shores of Waikiki, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and is a destination for many who visit the island and those who live there as well.

Now you might say that sure it’s easy for you Maggie you are in Hawaii and I am wherever you are today at work, I’m sick, I got a flat tire today, or what have you. Yes, I am in a beautiful spot right now making gratitude flow extra easy today, however, I am also finding gratitude in the simple things like the pillow I found to put under my laptop, the lemon I found at the ABC store around the corner, for my warm lemon water, the fact that there are ABC stores on every corner lol, that I am inspired to write this morning, and on and on it goes. There are so many things we can find to be grateful for and when we do, it shifts our frequency to a state of appreciation and love. With appreciation and love comes kindness to oneself and the world, so if nothing else do it for the team. 😊

The Greatest Gift

own happiness

I saw this quote today and just loved, loved, loved it! It reminded me of a FB post I did yesterday about my daughter in reference to a trip that I on right now. I am in Hawaii for the first time on a bucket list trip. I have always wanted to come here and have finally done so!

Here was the post and picture:

I truly believe the greatest gift we can give one another is our own happiness and along with that, allowing others to have their happiness too!

I think this applies to death too. So often people are so sad for long after a loved one’s passing. I always imagine their loved one saying something like this, from the other side “Stop!!! What are you doing? Be happy. I’m gone but you’re still there….. don’t waste another second in sadness and pain. You still have time left 🙂 I only want for you to be happy!!!!”. Although never easy losing loved ones, I am sure we would all agree they would just want us to be happy.

I leave you with the thought of having an intention to make your happiness a priority so that you can give this gift to those you love and that love you and the world at large!

Peace Hack 101

t pillow

I love this pillow my friend gave me. It says “The secret to having it all is believing you already do”. Now I love that but I change it up a bit to “The secret to having it all is KNOWING you already do”.

I think knowing sounds much more universally confident and sends a clear message that you are at peace with life and in turn life will bring you more peace. I am sure we have all heard the saying along the way “act as if”. This is not to be underestimated in its power. Acting as if and declaring that you ‘know’ and ‘trust’ that things are well, signals more of this in your life. It sounds simple and it is but it works!

I encourage you to try this and see what happens. One of the prayers I use is: “Thank you God/Universe/You Fill in the Blank, for already solving this problem for me and then I let it go! And it works. Try it. It’s a great one.

I close today wishing you all more Peace and Love and all the good stuff that life has to offer.

Define who YOU are….

14695368_10207800909396483_2304208567022143608_n

Wow. I saw this quote and I thought there is so much truth to it. Many of us spend a lifetime defining who we are based on beliefs from sources outside of ourselves like comments from others, teachings, religions, chance encounters, media and more. And yet, so many people feel disconnected from ‘who they really are’ or they are very self-critical and hard on themselves. We definitely can be our own worst enemy when defining who we are.

It is my belief that I can re-create myself anew in an given moment. Everyday is a new day to redefine myself. I teach this to my clients also. Nothing, has meaning until we give it meaning. If we want a new life or a new version of how we see ourselves, we have to tell a new story and that story must be based on OUR chosen version of who we say we are, not the external world, forces, and opinions.

We get to be butterflies coming out of the cocoon everyday and every minute. This is the true embodiment of personal empowerment.

What about you? Will you be a butterfly today? Will you allow yourself to be free to be you?

En-JOY!

Sometimes You Gotta Jump!

beach-1850250_1920

“Man is born to live, not to prepare for life.” Boris Pasternak

I have fully come to believe that sometimes in life you just have to jump in and take a chance on things. Life passes us by faster than any of us want to admit and it is unfortunate that people leave this earth with regrets and dreams not acted upon.

How many times have you analysed something to death or got yourself so worked up about making a decision that you just shut down and did not do anything?

As the quote states, we are born to LIVE and living means grabbing onto the things we desire to do. When I look at my life and at some of the things that matter most to me, I can clearly see that those were the areas where I jumped! I jumped in with both feet and then trusted the way would be shown to make it happen for me and the way WAS shown and they DID happen! 🙂

On another note, I also believe that even if I ‘jump’ on something, it may not be the perfect thing for me, but here’s the catch… I trust that the way will once again be shown to me! Perhaps it’s to adjust my course or re-choose something, but it always works out. Why? Because I jump, I trust, and I know that I can adjust my sails and change my course if need be, but if I never jump I sail nowhere.

I leave you today with the idea of going for those things that matter most. Remember to LIVE and not to spend your life preparing to live.

Decorate Your Life With JOY!

life is a ceremony

This was the start of my beautiful morning. Warm lemon water in a pretty cup, some meditation today (not all days), and then a short yoga session which focused today on appreciating the feet and knees.

Lately I have been ceremoniously enjoying my things and experiences and tying them together. For example when I prepare my morning celery juice I offer it up, pre-juicer, on a nice elongated white plate. There is something extra special doing it that way verses grabbing the celery from the sink and stuffing it in the juicer. 🙂

Here, in this picture, I enjoy my lemon water in a pretty tea cup along with my new favorite lemon water carafe. I find the more special and ceremonious I make my experiences, the deeper I appreciate them. They become sacred in fact.

A client just messaged me about how to prepare lemon water and I mentioned to her that I enjoy slicing my lemons thinly in the cup because it is like a whole bunch of sunshine in my cup. It truly makes me smile to see it. That is an example of infusing more JOY. I like to call all of this “Decorating Your Day with JOY”. 🙂

Update: my client just sent me this! How wonderful!
Teryls cup

I hope you too find ways to infuse more JOY into your day and enjoy the little things that you do for you health consistently because they truly do become the BIG things. All things done with JOY are enhanced and extra special too. 🙂

Just Be….

IMG_4520

One of the areas of my life that I am working on is to “Just Be” more often than “Doing”. Sometimes it’s easier than others, but I find I am yearning even more than ever to just be and to enjoy the simple things in life.

I took this picture a couple of years ago at my cottage. I find that I can really get into the groove of relaxing when I am in nature. Nature helps me to connect to my soul and to become one with my essence.

There are many ways to practice the art of being and there is no right or wrong way to do this. Here are some suggestions. Feel free to add to the list:

. A relaxing bath
. Listen to music
. Read a chapter in a good book
. Star gaze
. Moon gaze
. Hug a mug of hot tea with your hands
. Stare out a window
. Light a candle and set an intention when you look at it
. Place some fresh flowers in your space and en-JOY
. Sit on a beach
. Stare at a waterfall
. Stroll in a park
. For some, cooking a meal and connecting with the scents, tastes and love that goes into it

These are a few ideas but there are many ways to connect with our essence. The secret is to set the intention and to make doing so a priority.
