Grieving Over Losing A Pet

One of the hardest things ever is losing a pet…….

If you have recently lost a pet, you know how hard this can be. As a Life Coach who gets to hear my client’s deepest and most endearing feelings, losing a pet is one of the most painful experiences one can have and yes it can be akin to losing a loved one. Love is love and love has no boundaries.

One of the most challenging realities of being a pet owner is that our pet’s lives are so short and yet they pack so much love into those short years.

Losing a pet is more than losing a pet. Losing your beloved pet is also losing an endeared companion, a trusted friend, a great listener, a helper of lowering your stress and a booster of love in your life!

And unfortunately there are many people in life who do not understand the depth of our loss when it comes to losing our furry family member. Have you ever heard comments like “Just get over it”. Or “I don’t understand… it was only a dog”. These are from people who TRULY do not understand this intense grief. This is why I am sharing here a great resource that I found to help you through the loss of your pet.

“Robin, when I lost my dog after 11 wonderful years, I was devastated. I felt all alone without my beloved companion. When I tried talking to people, they would laugh and tell me it’s just a dog. After reading your guide and doing the exercises, I’m feeling tremendously better than before. I’m still grieving, but I’m thankful that now I have a helpful resource to comfort me.”Jennifer T.

Are The Holidays a Challenge For You?

“All human life has its seasons and cycles, and no one’s personal chaos can be permanent. Winter, after all, gives way to spring and summer, though sometimes when branches stay dark and the earth cracks with ice, one thinks they will never come, that spring, and that summer, but they do, and always.: — Truman Capote.

Is this a hard time of year for you? Maybe you’ve lost a loved one or multiple loved ones or maybe you are alone, or you have had health issues, or this year has been very challenging for you. Whatever the case may be, remember that the sun always sets and better yet, it always rises again. There is always the HOPE of a new day, a new season and a new reason to keep the faith that things will get better.

Here are some ideas to help you shift your sadness, loneliness or pain.

When you are thinking of your loved ones that you have lost, why not try focusing on the beautiful and happy memories and ALLOW yourself to smile about them? They would want that. They would be saying, “Please, please, enjoy yourself, it’s my greatest wish for you!” Sometimes we think we are supposed to feel bad about them not being there and although it’s okay to miss them and grieve, it’s okay to have JOY from the memories that make our heart smile, and to en-JOY where we are now and who is in our lives now.

I too have suffered loss. By the age of 29, I had lost both parents and a soulmate in a 3 year time frame. Do I miss them? Yes, but I am also over-JOYED at the people in my life today, and even more empowered to make sure I make the most of the time that I have left. I have no time to waste and am grateful to be alive.

One of the best ways to rise out of our pain, is to give what you are looking for. If you are lonely maybe reach out to someone else and send a kind word, or make a phone call, or send a lovely message on social media to tell them that they are thought of at this time. What we give out, we truly get back tenfold! Give Love and you will get Love back. Give Kindness and you will get Kindness back. Give a helping hand and you will get a full heart. Be the love you seek and it shall seek you!.

I want to personally wish everyone reading this a Happy Holiday, or just a Happy Day today, whenever you are reading this. I wish for you more JOY, more LOVE and more LIFE!

The Greatest Gift

own happiness

I saw this quote today and just loved, loved, loved it! It reminded me of a FB post I did yesterday about my daughter in reference to a trip that I on right now. I am in Hawaii for the first time on a bucket list trip. I have always wanted to come here and have finally done so!

Here was the post and picture:

I truly believe the greatest gift we can give one another is our own happiness and along with that, allowing others to have their happiness too!

I think this applies to death too. So often people are so sad for long after a loved one’s passing. I always imagine their loved one saying something like this, from the other side “Stop!!! What are you doing? Be happy. I’m gone but you’re still there….. don’t waste another second in sadness and pain. You still have time left 🙂 I only want for you to be happy!!!!”. Although never easy losing loved ones, I am sure we would all agree they would just want us to be happy.

I leave you with the thought of having an intention to make your happiness a priority so that you can give this gift to those you love and that love you and the world at large!

As You Grieve for Me

Picture of a women walking down a path illuminated holding her dress as she walks.

Grieve if you must but please trust.

Know that although I am no longer here in the physical form, my essence is surrounding you now.

I am around you now, always, and forever.

Heaven is but a mere thought away.

Although our relationship has changed forms,

I in the spirit world, and you in the physical,
we will continue our journey together.

The memories will hold us together in love and in light.

The lighter you can feel about my leaving the easier it will be for us to connect.

JOY will connect us through the universal thread of light and love.

My greatest wish for you is that you walk through the rest of your earthly journey with a heart that is light and open to 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄! ♥♥♥

Look around you and look for the people who surround you
now.

Strengthen your connection and your 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 for what is there for you in the Now. ♥♥♥

Your internal peace will free your soul.

♥ Our eternal peace will keep us as one forever and to infinity. ♥

I 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄 you, always and in all ways………
