Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.Megan Beattie
Thank you. Know matter how you say these two words or in what context, they truly are the most powerful energetically charged shifting words in the universe.
The art of being thankful and having gratitude can do more for the human spirit than any outside stimulus can provide. The people who have learned to leverage the power of gratitude know, that it is tremendously powerful for bringing peace and comfort to one’s soul. Whether one is counting their blessings, thanking someone in their life, or simply being grateful for life itself, the benefits of gratitude are great!
Studies have shown that grateful people experience improved immunity, better sleep, and lower blood pressure! They are also better able to participate in relationships and are more compassionate for self as well.
One of my favorite prayers that I use myself and teach to my clients to help with difficult situations is this one:
“Thank you God/Universe/Whatever You Want to Call it… for already solving this problem for me.” And then you detach and let it go. This prayer is very powerful and I cannot remember the source or where I got it, but I am eternally grateful for it and it has been instrumental in my life.
I am grateful today for this moment, for the fact that I am inspired to write this blog post, and for all of you reading it. I hope you find peace in gratitude and that you practice it in your daily life.
