“Man is born to live, not to prepare for life.” Boris Pasternak
I have fully come to believe that sometimes in life you just have to jump in and take a chance on things. Life passes us by faster than any of us want to admit and it is unfortunate that people leave this earth with regrets and dreams not acted upon.
How many times have you analysed something to death or got yourself so worked up about making a decision that you just shut down and did not do anything?
As the quote states, we are born to LIVE and living means grabbing onto the things we desire to do. When I look at my life and at some of the things that matter most to me, I can clearly see that those were the areas where I jumped! I jumped in with both feet and then trusted the way would be shown to make it happen for me and the way WAS shown and they DID happen! 🙂
On another note, I also believe that even if I ‘jump’ on something, it may not be the perfect thing for me, but here’s the catch… I trust that the way will once again be shown to me! Perhaps it’s to adjust my course or re-choose something, but it always works out. Why? Because I jump, I trust, and I know that I can adjust my sails and change my course if need be, but if I never jump I sail nowhere.
I leave you today with the idea of going for those things that matter most. Remember to LIVE and not to spend your life preparing to live.
