The Flicker that Wanes

It has been awhile since I have written a blog post but as they say “such is life’. I no longer beat myself up for the ups and downs and on and offs. We all go through these and they are a normal part of life. A very normal part of life in fact.

I also reflected today on the ebb and flow of life and how as we go along, our light sometimes gets dimmer and at other times it gets brighter. The quote I ran across today inspired me to write about our lights. “At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person”. Albert Schweitzer

We have slips and falls and somehow we get back up and keep going. I try to look at the slips and falls as blessings to show me once again, what I do want. These breaks in momentum can really be catalysts for clarity and growth. Nothing has meaning until we give them meaning, slips and falls included. 🙂

The wonderful thing about life is that we can support each other in these times just as the quote states. And this includes ourselves!!! Instead of beating ourselves up for things we are not doing or that we feel we should or shouldn’t be doing, let it go. Be human. Be real. It’s all good. Be your own light and in turn be the light for someone else when they need it.

I hope this blog post is the spark that you need to carry on or to free yourself from any self judgement or whatever you need at this time. 🙂
